We are a full-service family-owned restaurant serving a variety of locally sourced seafood. We clean our own fresh fish daily and individually prepare each food order to our customer's preferences. How did the business get started?

"Captain Ray" and "Miss Ann" Singleton had built a thriving commercial shrimping and charter fishing operation in Mayport, FL. In 1969 Miss Ann began to cook the fish that had been caught by their charter guests on the day's trip. Miss Ann's cooking was a big hit and Singleton's Seafood Shack was born. To this day Singleton's will prepare and cook fish that has been caught, cleaned, and brought to the Restaurant by local anglers.

What makes the business unique?

1) The freshness of our seafood catch is certainly one thing that makes Singleton's unique. The local fishermen pull up to our dock, and the catch is weighed, prepared, and served ... if there is a way to have fresher seafood expertly prepared we can't think of it. 2) Enjoy our view from the largest over-water deck in Duval County as SuperTankers and Cruise ships silently glide past along the St. Johns River. 3) Facing west ... every single evening is a Unique Sunset... one-of-a-kind murals from local artist Gary Mack ... and absolutely no one can replicate the actual "Shack" and wooden boat museum.
